ThankYou For Your Interest

PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

T hank you for your interest in King’s Christian School. The school’s vision begins with acknowledging God. This starts with our simply recognizing and accepting that He is there. But before this admission can go beyond a merely religious sentiment and seep into and wash over everything we say and do, we must recognize that God is also dynamically involved and passionately concerned with His world. Beginning with the marvelous act of creation, it included His making humans in His image and giving us responsibilities to carry out. It was followed by His setting in motion a plan to rescue us (and the creation) from the results of our rebellion by calling a nation into existence that would have her destiny climactically fulfilled in the person of her Messiah. A destiny where God, in Christ, took action that rescued this broken world from the power of sin and corruption. The story continues to this day with God’s action through His Holy Spirit to bring about His planned restoration.¹

Therefore, in the way we work, play and present ourselves, we seek to acquire His perspective on all things (including Science, Social Studies and Language Arts), to be ruled by Christ’s shalom, to pursue the wisdom that comes from above, to regard godliness as essential, and to cultivate a habit of thankfulness. In other words, we seek the grace to put love into practice. What better place can there be for children to develop self-confidence, self-discipline, a sense of identity, social responsibility, and a heart for God?

Since, as the Psalmist says, it is in Your light, that we see light (Psalm 36:9), we discover that taking our educational cue from accepting God, as He is, leads us to accept one another and ourselves, on His terms, and ends in us finding our place in His story for the world.

We invite you to consider joining KCS’s (ad)venture with God, His Word and His world.
